- The Bureau of Economic Analysis (BEA) Regional data program produces annual estimates of economic activity at the state, metropolitan statistical area (MSA), and county level. Key tables include Regional Personal Income (CAINC1), per-capita personal income, Gross Domestic Product by state, and Personal Consumption Expenditures. Fonteum uses BEA Regional data as economic context for healthcare access and quality studies.
- How does BEA differ from Census income data?
- BEA Regional income data is derived from administrative records (tax filings, Social Security, Medicare, and other program data) and provides annual estimates of total and per-capita personal income by place of residence.
