The CMS PECOS SNF All Owners dataset maps every CMS-certified skilled nursing facility to its ownership chain — individual owners, managing employees, and affiliated entities. ownership records across facilities nationwide, with Affiliated Entity IDs enabling chain-level aggregation without proprietary graph overlays.
Chain size, concentration, and related-entity mapping are derivable from the federal record alone. The /ownership brand-hub surfaces the analysis; the underlying table is queryable via the API with CCN or Affiliated Entity ID.

CCN-keyed — any facility in the ownership graph cross-joins to its cost report history in a single query. Fiscal year end dates vary by provider; the methodology version pins the exact cost report period included.

The CMS Provider of Services (POS) file is the quarterly canonical facility registry for all CMS-certified providers: SNFs, home health agencies, hospices, dialysis facilities, hospitals, and ASCs. CCN-keyed facilities. Every other CMS dataset — Care Compare, HCRIS, penalties, deficiencies — joins on CCN. Fonteum maintains POS as the identity backbone so cross-dataset joins are point-and-click rather than a mapping exercise.
